The following guidelines apply:
- New med orders need to be provided by your child's doctor
- no medication, tube feed, or treatment can be given by the nurse without a current medical order written for the 2024-2025 academic year.
-If applicable, please provide an Asthma Action Plan (for asthmatics), Allergy Action Plan (for children with life threatening allergies), or a Seizure Action Plan (for children with seizure disorders)
- you will need to ask your doctor for these, and they also need to be updated annually.
-Drop offs should be done only by the Parent/Guardian and only directly to the nurse (never hand medications, treatments or tube feedings to a non-medical staff member to deliver to the nurse; it is also not appropriate to have your child deliver medications to the nurse during the school year).
-Doctors orders may be provided as a hard copy from parent/guardian, via email attachment to the nurses, Mary Boratyn, mboratyn@nps.org and Dora Andreadis, dandreadis@nps.org, or faxed to the health office 508-234-0808.
