Once a month, NES will be supporting the Character Education H.E.A.R.T.S traits by offering an assembly celebration. By doing so, students will recognize the many different ways we, as a learning community, can exhibit good moral character.  We are asking the students, as well as staff, to wear an article of clothing with a specific color that represents a character trait during the assembly. It is our hope that students recognize that these traits can and will lead to a thriving and positive environment. Teachers throughout each month will initiate conversation about good moral character and we encourage you to do the same at home. The five colors and trait each color represents are listed below.

Our next Character Ed Assembly will take place Jan 31st!  Thank you for your support and have fun!!

September: RED – BE HONEST

October: ORANGE – BEST EFFORT

November:  ORANGE -- ACHIEVEMENT

January:  GREEN – BE RESPECTFUL

February:  GREEN -- BE RESPONSIBLE

March:  BLUE – TEAMWORK

April: YELLOW – HAVE SELF CONTROL

May:  YELLOW -- BE SAFE
