NCLB Report Card

In keeping with our responsibilities under the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), “report cards” for our district and each school have been prepared

using data collected and reported to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

These NCLB report cards share a variety of statistical information about our schools, students, and staff. They measure the quality of our district using factors such as school attendance, graduation rate, MCAS scores, and teacher qualifications.

The NCLB report cards contain the following information:

  • District and school teacher qualifications

  • Massachusetts and national scores on the most recent National Assessment of Educational Progress (NEAP)

  • District and school 2012 accountability and proficiency gap narrowing data

  • District and school 2012 MCAS data by grade, subject, and subgroup

A link to our district’s 2012 Report Card is available on the district’s website. Links to the school NCLB Report Cards are available on each school’s website. (Note: Northbridge Elementary School does not administer the MCAS exam so not all scores are reported.) If you would like a paper copy of these reports, please check with the school or district office.

If you have questions about district level information, please contact the superintendent’s office. For questions at the school level, please contact the building principal.

We continue to strive to provide a high quality, rigorous educational program for all our students. We appreciate the interest and support of our parents and the Northbridge community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nancy Spitulnik, Superintendent
